If you are starting a business or in the middle of the trenches, it is always good to hear a little advice from people who have “been there” and “done that.” However, some of the best advice has unknowingly been made in the form of great business quotes from US Presidents. No matter if you are starting off or have been running a business for years, here are some quotes that can help you along the way, as they have me.
If you're a military veteran who's been thinking of buying a franchise business, a great quote about business-from a U.S. President might be just what you need to stay on the path you're on. Like these:
"If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader." -John Quincy Adams
John Quincy Adams urged the United States to take a lead in the development of arts and sciences through the establishment of a national university, the financing of scientific expeditions, and the erection of an observatory. His critics declared such measures transcended constitutional limitations.
“I walk slowly, but I never walk backward.” – Abraham Lincoln
Lincoln by far as provided plenty of quotes that can be adapted to business environments. This is one of my favorites as it reminds me to never give up. Even if you feel you are not accomplishing anything, always move forward. A little progress is better than no progress at all.
“When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on.” – Thomas Jefferson
Thanks to Jefferson, I know always stick through things in the bad times. As an entrepreneur, you will go through many trials and it is important to work your way through them. The sky is always blue when the clouds clear, so bear through the storm as the sun will shine again.
