Don't Bet the Farm on a Franchise!

When it is time to invest in that dream franchise of yours{After working with franchise professionals every step of the way!}, risking it all is a foolhardy thing to do....

Calc

If you have:
A. Spent 5-6 weeks researching the opportunity you are about to invest in
B. Bought $750 in plane tickets top visit the franchise's HQ
And..
C. Talked to old friends, new friends, relatives, and any others you found that would listen to your big plans
Then why would you blow it all by investing everything you have???
I have received inquires from folks just like you who say,"Joel, I don't care if I have to risk everything, I want a business of my own. I want to build equity, finance my kid's education, travel, and then ride off into a Tahitian Sunset".

I would be really uncomfortable working with someone who really would risk it all to escape a lousy job, or start their adventure into small business/franchise ownership. As a matter of fact, using the word "uncomfortable" is a nice way of saying, I would not work with someone like that!

There are many ways to invest in a franchise business of your own, without "betting the farm".
The Wall Street Journal just published an article that will help you with options that exist, and options that some of the folks that I have helped get into businesses of their own have used.

Who's The King?

  • "Joel doesn't pull any punches. He is brutally honest and pro-franchise. But that doesn't mean he thinks every franchise company is great. He works with a very select group of franchise companies. He's also very selective about who he takes on as a client. Franchising isn't for everybody and Joel knows that." -Diane Helbig, Examiner.com review
