Creative Franchise Marketing? Or Desperation?

                                                                  Incentives
Some
franchisors are using some major creative incentives to bring new franchise owners on board. Could the lousy economy be to blame? {Let's blame something..or somebody!}

Those of you who subscribe to this blog know how much my franchise consulting firm has been hurt by the recession. I am seeing 60% less franchise candidates than normal, and even though I am optimistic about the future, I just don't know when the future will become the present....

Sometimes, one has to ride things out. That is what I am doing, although my family might disagree. I am accepting some paid blogging/writing assignments, and I am helping some young franchise companies with their marketing efforts. Here.

{If you are a franchisor, I really have a unique way to help you get noticed, which will help your phone ring. The program is probably too expensive for most of you, but what the heck, I have to find a way to get my kid to college.} Kidding. {On the expensive part..not the college part}

How are some franchisors attracting new franchisees during this rather slow time? The Wall Street Journal has a brief story concerning 4 of them

Email marketing is a great way to stay in front of your prospective franchisees. Look.

What I said about the economy. Last November.

Who's The King?

  • "Joel doesn't pull any punches. He is brutally honest and pro-franchise. But that doesn't mean he thinks every franchise company is great. He works with a very select group of franchise companies. He's also very selective about who he takes on as a client. Franchising isn't for everybody and Joel knows that." -Diane Helbig, Examiner.com review
