The folks over at Business.com, a top rated business site are feeling rather generous....

Thousands of dollars are up for grabs, in this very timely contest.......

Today’s challenging business climate calls for straight answers and innovative problem solving. The What Works for Business Contest wants to shift the focus from what’s wrong with the economy to what businesses can actually do to survive and thrive in 2009.

                                       Here are some details!

Simply submit a description (no more than 350 words) of a challenge your business has faced and how the issue was solved. It's that simple. An expert panel of judges will narrow down the field to 50 finalists. Then winners across 10 categories will be determined by popular vote in December.
Who can enter?

If your business is located in the U.S. or Canada, you are eligible to win. Enter today and spotlight your business while helping others struggling to find business solutions that work! Business.com– the leading business online resource – designed the contest to be a win-win for all businesses!
What are the prizes?

Ten businesses will win over $30,000 in cash and prizes. One grand prize winner will receive $10,000 to help their bottom line in 2009. All winning businesses will be featured in a national, year-long publicity campaign related to the contest on Business.com and partner sites.

This blogger has been asked to be one of the judges for this great contest, and I look forward to reviewing tons of great entries, and help award the money!

Who's The King?

  • "Joel doesn't pull any punches. He is brutally honest and pro-franchise. But that doesn't mean he thinks every franchise company is great. He works with a very select group of franchise companies. He's also very selective about who he takes on as a client. Franchising isn't for everybody and Joel knows that." -Diane Helbig, Examiner.com review
